Rock City took the P*** that night. Selling drinks for as long as they could when they knew he wasn’t coming on. I bailed out quickly as it was clear it was going to go up big time. Police were already waiting outside, a line of cars, went wading in with truncheons and people being dragged out pouring with blood.
Lucky nobody was killed.

What a night! I just remember feeling angry and really let down by Ozzy. It could have been such a great gig had it gone ahead…

It didn’t help that they were playing some classic tunes after Jagged Edge had played and the crowd was in good spirits until it was clear he wasn’t coming on.
I was with my girlfriend and as we left fruit machines were being overturned in the foyer and a policeman had his helmet knocked off on stage.
